By upgrading to the current version of Empower, you can streamline processes which results in a reduced cost to run the laboratory. Some of the more recent features which were added help in this area and have been discussed in detail in Tip 431 and Tip 433.

For instance, with every release of NuGenesis, there are security and performance updates made throughout the product reducing the risk of a cybersecurity hack.

STEP 4NuGenesis LMS features a modernized Web Vision browser for searching, exploring, and viewing all archived data. With simplified searching and filtering, and type-ahead filters to navigate large lists, users can quickly find relevant information. There could be longer review time without the new SDMS Audit Trail Viewer, increasing the risk and costs of missing critical issues during regular system reviews and potentially facing regulatory fines.

STEP 5NuGenesis 9.4.0 introduced a new auto integrity check for the NuGenesis LMS forms. A check is performed in the background for several scenarios, for example if the audit trail information differs to what is present on the NuGenesis LMS form. The form metadata will then display the relevant message. This reduces the risk of missing an integrity issue, potentially redoing the assay, and incurring costs from delayed product shipments.
