When you select Pump from the app's navigation panel, the page's middle panel populates with the options listed in the following table. Selecting any of these options populates the panel to the right with details or further options as described.

The app ensures that user-defined settings such as toggle selections and specified input values are retained across navigation events. This means that when you select options or specify values, those choices remain intact even when returning later after navigating away or closing the app. For any user-defined settings out of limits for the system, a red dot appears to the left of the middle panel option name.

Parameter Details or available settings provided
Mobile Phase Solvents1

Fields in which to select up to four types of mobile phase solvents from a list or specify custom options. To bring up the list of solvents, click the blue pencil icon (labeled Change in the panel's top right-hand corner) next to a field. The chosen options will correspond to the color-coded solvent line tags for the bottles being used by the system (A, B, C, D).

Note: The contents of this panel and available functionality align with those for the column compartment when you select the Mobile Phase Solvents middle panel option from the navigation panel's System view.
Gradient Start Options

The Gradient Start option selector with the choices Before, At Injection, and After.

Note: You can delay gradient start by time or by volume.
Gradient Table Options for defining up to 50 gradient table rows and selecting to view the specified data as a table, a plot, or both.
Pressure Limits The system's pressure range is up to 12000 psi. For operation at the maximum pressure based on the active flow rate, select Automatic.
Gradient End Options

The Append with Stop Flow option selector: Enable or disable appending the stop flow line at the end of the gradient table using curve 11.

When enabled, the Time Period (min) is available to specify the time after the gradient ends when flow will stop, from 0.10 to 60.0.

Seal Wash Frequency The Seal Wash Frequency (min) form field to specify the number of minutes between seal wash cycles, from 0.02 to 60.00.
Flow Ramp Period The Flow Ramp Period (min) form field to specify the time period for which to ramp the flow rate to 2.00 mL/min, from 0.066667 to 5.000000. The effective ramp rate (in mL/min/min) of the flow ramp period you specify, appears below the form field.
Stroke Volume

The Automatically Set Stroke Volume option selector: Enable or disable automatic adjustment of stroke volume based on the flow rate.

When disabled, the Stroke Volume option selector appears with the choices Half Stroke (66 µL) and Full Stroke (132 µL).

Data Channels: Pump

The option selectors to enable or disable these data channels:

  • System Pressure — Overall solvent pressure (psi)
  • Flow Rate — System flow rate (mL/min)
  • %A — Percent composition of solvent A
  • %B — Percent composition of solvent B
  • %C — Percent composition of solvent C
  • %D — Percent composition of solvent D
  • Primary — Primary (left head) pressure (psi)
  • Accumulator — Accumulator (right head) pressure (psi)
  • Degasser — Degasser pressure (psi)
