Viewing and editing digital notes

Users can access digital notes via the touchscreen or console.

Users of Alliance iS HPLC systems version 2.0 and later can access the digital notes added by all system users.

Notes:
  • Digital notes created on the Alliance iS HPLC system are also visible through the Alliance iS HPLC System console in Empower (and vice versa).
  • The Alliance iS HPLC system supports only four notes at a time.
  1. To view or edit digital notes from the touchscreen :
    1. From the Home screen or the lock screen, tap NOTES.
      Existing digital notes appear on the touchscreen.
    2. Tap Add or Edit Notes.
      Note: If you tap Add or Edit Notes from the lock screen, you must sign in to the system in order to add or edit notes.
    3. To edit a digital note, tap the three dots on the right of the note, and then tap EDIT. Tap the pencil icon and use the touchscreen to add the note (up to 100 characters). Tap DONE. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the expiration date and expiration time for the note, and then tap DONE
    4. To delete a digital note, tap the three dots on the right of the note, and then tap DELETE. The Delete note dialog box appears. Tap DELETE or CANCEL.
  2. To view or edit digital notes from the console :
    1. Click the notes icon at the top-right of the screen and click Add or Edit Notes.
    2. To edit a digital note, click on an existing note, edit the note text in the Note field, and use the touchscreen to submit the note (up to 100 characters). Follow the on-screen prompts to set the expiration date and expiration time for the note, and then click Save.
    3. To delete a digital note, click on an existing note and click the trash can icon. The Delete note? dialog box appears. Tap Delete or Cancel.
