Identifying the connected Alliance iS system from the console

Users can access Alliance iS system identity information from within the console.

Starting with Alliance iS version 2.0, users can initiate a system identification request from the Alliance iS HPLC System console.

  1. Open the Alliance iS HPLC System console. See Opening the console from Empower software.
  2. Click the menu button on the top left of the console screen, and then click Identify System.
  3. From the pull-down menu, select the duration for system identification (5 min, 10 min, 20 min or 30 min).
  4. Click Identify System.
    • The system touchscreen displays a System Identification Requested message.
    • The LED light bar on the system bottle tray lights up.
    • The system gives audio feedback indicating system identification.
  5. To dismiss the system identification message, tap DISMISS or wait for the system identification process to time out.
