The system touchscreen displays information about the active acquisition, solvents, and system conditions.

Starting with Alliance iS version 2.0, when the system is running an acquisition, the touchscreen automatically displays a view showing key information about the acquisition. The following figure shows the Alliance iS touchscreen acquisition view.

For systems running Empower version 3.8 or higher, the screen displays:

  • Current injection
  • Injections remaining
  • Injections completed
  • Current injection time remaining (HH:MM:SS)
  • Total sample time remaining (HH:MM:SS)
  • Elapsed time since injection (HH:MM:SS)
  • Current injection location
  • Sample name
  • Instrument method

For systems running Empower prior to version 3.8, the screen displays:

  • Injections remaining
  • Current injection time remaining (HH:MM:SS)
  • Elapsed time since injection (HH:MM:SS)
  • Current injection location

For all versions of Empower, the touchscreen presents additional groups of information:

  • Solvent information (mobile phase and washes)
    • Six bottles; labeled A, B, C, D, S, and N
    • Solvent level (in mL when less than 1 L and in L when greater than or equal to 1 L)
    • Solvent name
    • Bottle size in liters
    • Indicates when the solvent bottle is low (less than 20%)
    • Indicates when the solvent bottle is empty (less than 10%)
    • Indicates when the solvent bottle use by date has expired
    • Indicates when the solvent bottle use by date is about to expire (within three days of its expiration date)
  • System conditions
    • Flow state
    • Lamp state
    • Delta pressure
    • System pressure
    • Sample temperature
    • Column temperature

You can page through these three groups of information by tapping on one of the three dots on the screen or by swiping left or right. .

Note: If the user does not interact with the system for ten seconds while viewing mobile phase or system conditions, the view automatically returns to the acquisition panel.
