Calibrating the TUV detector

Calibrate the detector if it does not pass wavelength verification.

If the detector does not pass verification of calibration, it displays a Wavelength Verification Failure message. In this case, you must calibrate the detector.

To calibrate the detector:

  1. To calibrate the detector from the touchscreen :
    1. Tap Maintain > Calibrate Detector > NEXT > NEXT > Calibrate Wavelengths. Follow the remaining on-screen prompts and tap START to complete the calibration process. When calibration is complete, the screen displays Calibrate Wavelengths Passed.
    2. Tap RETRY to run the calibration process again, or tap DONE.
  2. To calibrate the detector from the console (traditional mode) :
    1. Click Workflows, click the left-hand side of the Verify And Calibrate TUV Wavelengths card, and then click Start. Click Next > Calibrate Wavelengths. Follow the on-screen prompts and then click Calibrate to complete the calibration process. When calibration is complete, the screen displays Calibration Wavelengths Passed.
    2. Tap Recalibrate to run the calibration process again, or click Done.
  3. To calibrate the detector from the console (express mode) :
    1. Click Setup, and then click the play button on the right-hand side of the Verify And Calibrate TUV Wavelengths card. The summary page appears showing the last selected settings (or default settings upon first system startup).
    2. Optionally, click Cancel to exit the workflow before it begins, or click Back to adjust the workflow settings. After a ten-second countdown, the workflow runs automatically. When calibration is complete, the screen displays Calibration Wavelengths Passed.
    3. Click Recalibrate to run the calibration process again, or click Done.
