Workflow timeout

Workflow timeout
Topic LCI-USG-0268, Last Updated 11/21/2025

The Alliance iS system features automatic workflow timeout if the user is not actively using the system.

Starting with version 2.0, the system features automatic timeouts for workflows initiated via the touchscreen or console applications, to prevent deadlocks caused by abandoned workflows and enhance system reliability.

  • When the user selects a workflow but does not start it, the system initiates a 10-minute inactivity timer. If the system detects no user interaction within this period, a dialog box appears notifying the user of the impending timeout.
  • The dialog includes a 30-second countdown, offering the user the option to either remain in the workflow or cancel it. If the user takes no action before the countdown expires, the system automatically cancels the workflow.
  • If the user cancels the dialog and stays in the workflow, the system resets the 10-minute inactivity timer and the workflow remains active.
