Tip #205: Including the Purity Plot in an Empower Report

In this tip, we will answer another Empower user question regarding reporting PDA data.

Q: How can I include the Purity Plot in my Empower report?

STEP 1

The PDA Default project, which comes with Empower, has several Report Methods you can copy to your working project. One such Report Method is titled PDA Purity Plot. Right click on the Report Method and select Copy to Project to copy it to your working project.

Now in your working project, right click on a Result and select Preview/Publisher.

This Report Method will display a purity plot for each integrated peak in the chromatogram.

How do I add the Purity Plot to my existing Report Method?

Now we have a typical report with a chromatogram and peak results including Purity Angle and Purity Threshold.

STEP 5

In the Report Publisher window, expand the PDA/MS Groups and expand Purity Plots. Either double click or drag and drop the Purity Plot group into the report.

The report now contains the chromatogram, peak table and Purity Plot for every integrated peak.
