waters_connect helps you accelerate the time to outcomes with workflow solutions ranging from quantitative, biopharma, and accurate mass-based analyses helping you reach new levels of efficiency, precision, and confidence.
Key Solutions Available with this Release
- waters_connect for Biopharma — Biopharmaceutical accurate mass applications for protein-based therapeutics, vaccines, and nucleic acid-based therapeutics with UNIFI
- waters_connect for Small Molecules — Accurate mass-based solutions for screening of small molecules with UNIFI
Base Kit
waters_connect Base Kit comprises of platform services, base utility tools, and base applications such as Hub, Administration, Scientific Library for core system use.
Key Benefits in this release include:
- Enhanced compliance readiness with more efficient records handling in draft state and better control policies over signature methods and active multi-user sessions, such as:
- assign a unique signature method folder policy to a desired folder and prevent use of not specified signature methods for report approval;
- lock previously active user sessions when a new user logs-in the software for the same workstation or client PC;
Improved productivity when submitting samples by converting acquired data to generic file format in real-time, ensuring immediate availability for third-party software use. The new waters_connect DATA Convert tool enables increased data compatibility with third-party software applications via conversion of MS, MS/MS, DDA and MSE data into mzML format;
New streamlined and efficient waters_connect product ordering and license model to elevate the customer digital software management experience;
Elevated usability for waters_connect Administration with user interface improvements, such as redesigned icons, optimization of data visible vertically on screen, more visible scrollbars, and dynamic zoom adjustments for tabular data;
Faster analysis method generation in waters_connect UNIFI when handling components with multiple adducts in the detection results section of scientific library. Benefit from the enhanced scientific library import from Excel mechanism for components characterized by multiple adducts;
Improved awareness of storage space capacity for efficient product use and performance with a standalone tool that shows space usage for all waters_connect install types;
Improved product quality and stability by addressing high impact software anomalies, such as:
- slow performance when opening waters_connect Administration;
- inability to view properly sized icons and scroll bars in user interface of waters_connect UNIFI;
- inability to prevent export or deletion of folders containing records in draft state;
- resolve system downtime due to data buffering and transfer bottlenecks when acquiring data via waters_connect UNIFI in a Network install with a Xevo G3 QTof and ACQUITY Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle (SM-FTN), Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM), Column Manager, and Photodiode Array (PDA) Detector (CRI-5875).
Acquisition Kit
Sample Submission, Method Editor, and Laboratory Network Device enable data acquisition with Waters instrument systems used for accurate mass Biopharmaceutical applications with Xevo G2-XS QTof, Xevo G3 QTof, and BioAccord System.

Enhanced compliance readiness and acquisition workflow usability with .cvs file based data transfer mechanism from your LIMS to waters_connect Sample Submission, including the ability to acquire and process data originated from the LIMS for the waters_connect Quantitation workflow;
Improved productivity and usability when submitting samples with the ability to view subsequently generated data in real-time via opening waters_connect LC-MS Toolkit at the point of sample injection;
- Increased laboratory operational efficiency with waters_connect System Monitoring, enabling users to view real-time status and gain insights from your waters_connect LC-MS instrument fleet as well as LC Empower deployments;
LC-MS Toolkit
LC-MS Toolkit enables data interrogation outside of the defined workflows and provides flexibility to the software that is needed for more advanced use.
Key Benefits in this release include:
- Increased data clarity and faster decision making by interrogating Data Dependent Acquisition (DDA) types and lock mass correcting data in real time in waters_connect LC-MS Toolkit, such as:
- link MS survey scans with resulting MS/MS spectra;
- DDA switch table for rapid data review;
- export switch table to enhance exclusion lists in acquisition method editor;
- view, manipulate and lock mass correct data that in being acquired.
- Faster time to results of unknown components with enhanced structural elucidation capabilities in waters_connect LC-MS Toolkit, such as:
- Mass Fragment improvements, including the ability to select alternative structural assignments and report results to PDF.
UNIFI
waters_connect UNIFI enables the execution of accurate mass experiments ranging from Small Molecules to Biologics. Moreover, it provides access to core applications such as System Console, Device Management, Explorer, and Qualification for general system use.
Key Benefits in this release include:
- Improved data clarity to achieve faster decision making when using the UNIFI Accurate Mass screening workflow for polymers analysis. Benefit from the enhanced isotope clustering algorithm improvements to better resolve typical polymeric isotopic patterns, including those with overlapping isotope clusters.
