Empower Tip: Audit Trails

In this tip, we look at Sample Set Audit Trails which keep track of changes to the overall Sample Set.

Let’s see how it’s done!

Bring the Sample Set into Alter Sample Set and click on the Sample Set Information tool.

The Sample Set Information window opens and displays information, start date/time, end date/time, and whether the Sample Set has been altered.

In this case, the Sample Set has been altered. Select View Sample Set Changes from the View menu.

We see that the value for the Custom Field Method_Type was modified from no entry to System Suitability.

Create a View Filter on the Sample Sets tab in the Project window to include the Original Sample Set Id and the Sample Set Id. They are different because a Sample Set field was changed.

Right-click on the Sample Set and select View As > Audit Records.

This takes us to the Project Audit Trail which also indicates the Sample Set was modified.
