Contemporaneous means that the data should be recorded at the time work is performed and the date/time stamps should follow in order. (Note: I recommend reading Tip 411 before reading this tip)

Things to consider:

Set Other System Policies:

Set long date format

Choose either Region Name or Abbreviation

Time Zone Offset is useful for multiple time zones

Empower automatically saves new versions of Results whenever data is processed. All versions of Results are always available. The same applies to creation and/or revision of Methods.

Note: these settings can be made in System Policies in Configuration Manager.
