Tip #346: Scheduling or Reservation of Systems with waters_connect System Monitoring

In this tip, we will revisit our discussion on waters_connect System Monitoring and discuss scheduling or reservation of systems. NOTE: If you missed previous waters_connect System Monitoring tips, please reference Tip 334, Tip 335, Tip 336, and Tip 337.

STEP 1

STEP 1

Login to the waters_connect cloud platform and access System Monitoring. Select the system you want to reserve from the System Monitoring Dashboard. Next, select the Schedule tab, and either click on the ‘day/time’ desired for the reservation or click on the ‘Add reservation’ button. As displayed here..

STEP 2

STEP 2

You can reserve a system for many different reasons (calibration, running samples, preventive maintenance, repair, etc.). Select the ‘reservation type’ according to the desired activity.

STEP 3

STEP 3

Specify the date(s) or date(s)/time(s) of the desired schedule or reservation.

STEP 4

STEP 4

Enter desired comments (optional) and select Save.

STEP 5

STEP 5

The reservation is shown in the Schedule tab according to the selected date/time. NOTE: the reservation can be edited/deleted by the person who created this event.

STEP 6

STEP 6

Go back to the System Monitoring console page. Providing the reservation is within the next week, you will see a calendar icon on the upper right corner of the system you scheduled. It will show either the number of days until the reservation, or the number of hours until the reservation if it is within the same day.

It’s that easy!
