Tip #350: How to Create a Report to Summarize the History of Either an eConnect or eCord Column

In this tip, we will learn how to create a report to summarize the history of either an eConnect or eCord column. There is a report group within the Report Publisher which creates a complete history of either column. Start by creating a Summary by All Report Method.

Let’s see how it’s done!

STEP 1

For Empower versions prior to 3.8.0, open the Report Publisher, and in the list of report groups find eCord Information. Expand that group and view Column Sum and SampleSet data.

For Empower 3.8.0, open the Report Publisher, and in the list of report groups find Detected Column Information. Expand the group and view Column Sum and SampleSet data. Drag and drop the group onto the right side of the screen.

Go to Configuration Manager and size the window to view Report Publisher in the background. Select Columns in the tree on the left. Click the row number for the column for which you want to create the summary report.

Put the mouse cursor on the row number for the column, hold the mouse button down, and click and drag the row into the Report Publisher.

The Open Report Method dialogue opens. Select the last option and click OK.

Print Preview opens displaying the summary report for the selected column. This works for eConnect and eCord columns. You can then add a header, footer, and any other desired information. Be sure to save the Report Method and give it a name.
