Empower Tip: User ManagementTip #408: Creating User Groups

In this tip, we will continue our series on User Management, specifically creating User Groups. We can group Users together so that access to Projects and Systems can be shared.

In this tip, we will continue our series on User Management, specifically creating User Groups. We can group Users together so that access to Projects and Systems can be shared.

Let’s see how it’s done!

Step 1

In Configuration Manager, highlight User Groups in the tree on the left, right click in the table and select New.

The New User Group dialogue opens.

Step 3

Enter a name for the Group and select which Users will be in the Group.

Step 4

Optionally, you can select a Group Admin. A group administrator can maintain the group eliminating the need to go to your Empower Administrator when a group needs to be modified.

The group administrator can modify, create and delete Users in the group provided that they have the appropriate privileges enabled.

We now see the new User Group in the table.
