Empower Tip: Processing data from the Project window

In this tip, we continue the series this week and learn how to Process data from the Project window. This tip continues from Empower tip of the week 459.

From either the Sample Sets or the Injections tab in the project window right click on a row(s) and select Process.

The Background Processing and Reporting dialogue opens.

The Process box is selected by default. The choices are to process with the Acquisition Method Set (the Method Set which was used to acquire the data) or a Specified Method Set. In either case, select a Method Set which has a Channel Set and a complete Processing Method. In this case, I selected the Method Set which was created in the earlier Tips. Click OK.

The Processing Server Monitor icon appears at the bottom of the window. In this case it is the last icon on the far right.

Click on the icon to open the Processing Server Monitor window. This will show the progress of the injections as they are being processed.

Go to the Results tab in the Project window to locate the new Result(s) generated. Select Processed Today from the Filter By list to view only the new Results which have been generated.

The Default filter at the end of the list when selected will show all Results generated in the Project.

Right click on a Result and select Review.

Review opens, and we see the chromatogram for the concentration detector (in this case the RI) and Peaks table with Mw and Polydispersity calculated.

Go to the Results window in Review to look at either the Distribution table and/or the Debye plot.
