Empower Tip: Working with 3D Data

In this tip, we will discuss how to remove Extract Choices when working with 3D data in the Review window.

When working with 3D data, such as PDA or QDa, the Extract Choices list cannot be cleared. Every time you extract a wavelength, or a mass, it adds to the list. We can clear the list by copying preferences from a project without any extracted wavelengths or masses, to our project of interest.

In our project of interest, we see the Extract Choices list has several entries. 254 and MAX Plot are there by default, however, 270 and 280 are not.

In the Configuration Manager window, select ‘Copy Preferences’ from the View menu.

Select the source project from the list. Then select the destination ‘User(s) and Project(s)’. Click ‘OK’.

Reopen the project of interest, take a channel of data into review and now the Extract Choices list has been cleared.
