In this tip we continue our series on Size Exclusion Chromatography with Multi-Angle Light Scattering Detection (SEC-MALS), which is available in Empower 3.10.0, and discuss project creation and contents.
Let’s get started.
Traditionally the GPC option came with two sub options – GPCV and GPCLS. Now the GPC option comes with a new sub option called SEC-MALS. The properties of the SEC-MALS Default project is displayed.
When creating a new project, or modifying an existing project, you cannot have both the GPC and SEC-MALS options selected. The reason is that both options share some of the same fields such as Mw, Mn, Mz and so forth.
Within the project we see a MW Distributions tab which keeps track of all molecular weight distributions generated which will be covered in a future tip.
There is an “LS” Standardization tab which keeps track of when you normalize the multiangle light scattering detector which will be covered in a future tip.
It’s that easy!
