Tip #457: We will show you how to enter the concentration for the BSA sample and view the final result

In this tip, we will show you how to enter the concentration for the BSA sample and view the final result.

STEP 1

STEP 1

Click the Alter Sample tool in the upper toolbar of the Review window.

STEP 2

STEP 2

The Alter Sample window opens. Click the Amounts tool in the toolbar.

STEP 3

STEP 3

Enter the name for the peak and the concentration. In this case, BSA and 2.0. Click OK, save the changes within Alter Sample and exit out.

STEP 4

STEP 4

Apply the Method Set and view the Peaks tab associated with the RI detector. The Mw and Polydispersity have been calculated. The Mass Injected and % Mass Recovery have been calculated as well.

STEP 5:

Right click in the chromatogram and select Properties.

STEP 6

STEP 6

Go to the Peak Labels tab and select Plot Slice MW which is located on the left side of the window. Click OK.

STEP 7

STEP 7

This plots the Mw at every slice across the peak.

STEP 8

STEP 8

Hover your cursor on a segment of the graphical timeline, it will provide the start and end time of that status. Please Note: when viewing a section with an error, the error may not be for the full duration, it may be that the status persists in the error state until someone fixes the problem and the state changes.

It’s that easy!

Final Notes

I hope you found this tip helpful. Next time we are going to continue the series on doing Size Exclusion Chromatography with Multi Angle Light Scattering detection or SEC-MALS and look at the Debye plot.
