Wouldn’t it be nice to add timed integration events directly into the chromatogram rather than going back and forth between the chromatogram and the processing method? Well, you can and it’s easy.
Let me show you how.
Bring a channel of data into Review.
From the File menu you can select to create a new Processing Method or Open an existing method.
We don’t want the solvent front integrated, so let’s add an Inhibit Integration. Right click in the part of the chromatogram you want to add the event and select Add Integration Event.
In the Add Integration Event dialogue box, set the Time to start the event.
From the Type drop down list choose the event, in this case Inhibit Integration.
Set the Stop time and check the Show Integration Event on Chromatogram Plot box. Click OK.
This places vertical markers in the chromatogram indicating where the event is and allowing you to fine-tune the start and stop times of the event by moving the makers.
Click the Integrate tool and the event has been applied to the chromatogram.
Now click the Processing Parameters tool to view the Processing Method. Click the Integration tab and you see that the event has been added to the table.
It’s that easy! So if you are like me, and rather work directly in the chromatogram, this is the way to go.
This works the same if you use the Pro Interface.
