QUESTION:
Is it possible to copy report groups from one project to another?
Great question. Let’s see how it’s done!
Open Report Publisher in two projects and put the windows side by side.
You can “drag and drop” a report group from one window to the other. It is as easy as that!
There is also a way to create a Custom Group and add it to the Default Groups so that the Custom Group will be available in all projects.
Open Report Publisher in the project with the Custom Group and select Manage Defaults from the Edit menu.
This allows you to either move default report groups to other projects and/or move custom groups from the project that the group was created in, to the Default Groups. Highlight the Custom Group and click the << to move it to the left.
The Custom Report Group is now part of the Default Groups.
When you go to a completely different project and expand the groups, you will find the Custom Group part of the list.
