Tip #451: SEC-MALS with Empower: Creating an Initial Processing Method

In this tip on SEC-MALS with Empower, we will discuss creating an initial Processing Method. Having an initial Processing Method makes it easier to create the Method Set. We will learn more about that and will complete the Processing Method in Tip 452.

Let’s get started.

STEP 1

On the Methods tab of the project, click in the table and select New Method>Processing Method.

STEP 2

The Processing Method Editor opens. Select SEC-MALS for the Processing Type and Traditional for the Integration Algorithm and click OK.

STEP 3

Select File, Save As, enter a name for the Processing Method and click Save.

STEP 4

Close the Processing Method Editor and click Update to reapply the Default View Filter. The new Processing method appears in the table.
