waters_connect Releases Overview
This page provides an overview of waters_connect releases along with the release key benefits, recommended use, and associated level of software support.
waters_connect offers a release model tailored to customers' varying upgrade frequency needs, providing suitable options to match their laboratory requirements. This is accomplished through two types of waters_connect products: Long Term Support (LTS) and Incremental Upgrades.
- waters_connect LTS releases are recommended for customers who need a software mainstream solution supported over an extended period. These releases provide 3 years of mainstream support including access to technical, professional and engineering services. Correction of critical software anomalies and their resolution are available at Waters' discretion and managed through the anomaly escalation process in alignment with the Waters Informatics Statement of Coverage.
When on a waters_connect LTS qualified and validated solution, you can benefit from new workflow application features and quality improvements to remain at the forefront of innovation and productivity with minimal impact on your system re-validation efforts. If a new application release is supported on your validated LTS product, you can upgrade it in minutes and then focus only on a targeted software re-qualification protocol* . - waters_connect Incremental Releases provide frequent updates that deliver features and quality improvements at a high cadence. They are ideal for customers who want to remain at the cutting edge of innovation and are comfortable with regularly updating the software to access the latest features and quality improvements. These products provide 2 years of sustaining support including access to technical, professional and engineering services. Correction of critical software anomalies and their resolution are only provided through new waters_connect releases.
