Preparing to shut down the Alliance iS HPLC System

Note: See Powering-off the system for more information related to shutdown.
  1. Users working from the system touchscreen : Tap SETUP to see the Touchscreen Setup view, and then tap Shutdown. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the next steps. Actions include:
    • Setting the sample temperature and set point
    • Setting the column temperature and set point
    • Setting flow rate and composition
    • Setting the lamp state
    1. Review the settings on the Summary screen and tap Start to proceed.
    2. Tap Done.
  2. Users working from the console (traditional mode) : Click Setup, click the left-hand side of the Shutdown Workflow card, and then click Start to complete the next steps. Actions include:
    • Setting the sample temperature and set point
    • Setting the column temperature and set point
    • Setting the lamp state
    • Setting flow rate and composition
    1. Review the settings on the Summary screen and click Start to proceed.
    2. Click Done.
    Shutdown continues to run in the background unless an error occurs.
  3. Users working from the console (express mode) : Click Setup and then click the start button on the right-hand side of the Shutdown Workflow card. The summary page appears showing the last selected settings (or default settings upon first system startup).
    1. Optionally, click Cancel to exit the workflow before it begins, or click Back to adjust the workflow settings. After a ten-second countdown, the workflow runs automatically.
    2. Click Done.
    Shutdown continues to run in the background unless an error occurs.
